  2. Hey Angelene!

Good work putting your portfolio on weebly. I should utilize my weebly more often. I had a lot of the same feelings you had at the beginning of the course when it came to what to write, how to write. I appreciate the meme's and the honesty attached to your progress. I'm happy this class provided you an outlet to share some of your work and practice writing for others to see. I really enjoyed the snowboard story. Thanks for sharing during the semester! Take care.

  3. Angelene, your writing memes at the beginning of the portfolio are awesome! I love how you describe your writing epiphany, and thank goodness, because you are a fabulous writer. Most of your pieces are written from a unique perspective other than your own, which demonstrates both skill and empathy!

  4. Angelene--You have great variety of writing pieces from chants to a picture book about Jojo to your grape story about joining the Army. I enjoyed reading all of them. But I especially enjoyed hearing/reading your journey of becoming a writer this semester. Wonderful writing quotes. I am so glad that you learned the power and importance of writing with our students and becoming writers like them.

  5. Angelene--I am surprised that you considered yourself a "non-writer" at the beginning of this course, because I love the voice in all your pieces! I especially loved the descriptive details in your first piece, "7 Degrees." And, of course, I loved your use of memes! Thank you so much for sharing these.

Oh, and I am really impressed by your hand-drawn picture book!

  6. I loved how you included a personal reflection before your postings. I loved the poem and the story book from your dogs perspective! I never wrote about or from my dogs perspective this semester and now I wish I had. Yay for chants! I'm glad you could use this time to write for helping your students improve their fluency, hopefully it was helpful in the classroom. I loved your use of memes- they are my favorite! Great work!
